WHY THIS TRIP IS SPECIAL
This one of a kind itinerary visits two phenomenal and highly unique ecosystems with some of the most concentrated wildlife diversity in the world. The first leg of this spectacular adventure begins in the Cerrado, the richest savannah on the planet featuring over 850 species of bird (as many as the entire USA), 251 mammals, 482 reptiles and amphibians, and 13,000 plants. Here we have an entire 84,544 acre conservation reserve and award winning boutique lodge to ourselves, with optimal chances of seeing the bizarre and highly elusive Maned Wolf. Next, we travel to the worlds largest tropical wetland and wildlife capital of Brazil, the Pantanal. Beginning at another spectacular nature lodge lush with opportunity for finding and observing birds and wildlife, we utilize boats, spotlights, and safari vehicles to explore this vast ecosystem. The last leg of our trip takes place a little further south in the center of the Pantanal and is where we will shift our focus to tracking down and observing South America’s most famed predator – the Jaguar.
